autobrr: Real-Time Download Automation From IRC Announces and RSS
autobrr grabs releases the moment they are announced. Many private trackers announce new uploads in IRC channels seconds before they show up in RSS feeds. autobrr listens to those announcements, checks each release against your filters, and sends matches straight to your download client or *arr app.
It combines and modernises what older tools like autodl-irssi and flexget did.
How it works
- Connect autobrr to your trackers’ IRC announce channels, or to RSS, Torznab, and Newznab feeds
- Write filters: resolutions, sources, sizes, release groups, and more
- When a release matches, an action sends it to a client or app
Supported targets
- Torrent clients: qBittorrent, Deluge, rTorrent, Transmission, Porla, aria2
- Usenet: SABnzbd, NZBGet
- *arr apps: Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, and others
- Watch folders, webhooks, and custom scripts
Deployment
autobrr is written in Go with a React interface, supports SQLite or PostgreSQL, and runs as a Docker container, a systemd service, or a native binary on Linux, FreeBSD, macOS, and Windows. It supports OIDC login, so you can put it behind an identity provider like Pocket ID. Seedbox installers such as Swizzin and Saltbox include it.
The autobrr family
The same team builds qui, a modern multi-instance qBittorrent interface, and has announced librrary, a planned Sonarr and Radarr replacement. Related tools: Recyclarr keeps your *arr quality settings in line with the TRaSH Guides, and Unpackerr extracts archived downloads.
Use autobrr only with trackers and content you are permitted to download, and follow each tracker’s rules on automation.
