Miniboard: Lightweight Dashboard With Uptime Monitoring

Miniboard is a dashboard that also watches whether the services it links to are actually up.

Most dashboards show links; most uptime monitors show status; running both means two applications and two tabs. Miniboard combines them, so a tile tells you both where a service is and whether it is currently responding. Tabs group services, which keeps a large homelab organized rather than presenting one long wall of tiles.

Notifications

Because it is already checking, it can alert when something goes down, covering the basic monitoring need without deploying a dedicated tool.

Where its limits are

For serious monitoring, Uptime Kuma offers far more: multiple check types, status pages, maintenance windows, and a long list of notification integrations. Miniboard is the right size when you want a start page that happens to notice outages, not a monitoring platform.

Deployment

Docker with a small configuration volume; resource use is minimal.
