APT
Also known as: apt-get, Advanced Package Tool, .deb, dpkg
The Advanced Package Tool, the package manager for Debian, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and other distros that use .deb packages.
What Is APT in Linux?
apt is the friendly front end; apt-get is the older scripting-stable interface; and dpkg is the low-level tool that actually unpacks .deb files. apt update refreshes package lists and apt upgrade installs newer versions.
apt full-upgrade also allows removing packages when needed to complete upgrades, and apt autoremove cleans up dependencies no longer required.
Example
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
