Waterfly III: Android Client for Firefly III
Waterfly III is an Android client for Firefly III, the self-hosted personal finance manager.
Entry speed decides whether budgeting survives
Double-entry finance tools only work if transactions actually get recorded, and the moment recording means opening a laptop, the habit dies. Waterfly’s purpose is entering a transaction in a few taps at the point of spending, which is the difference between a budget that reflects reality and one abandoned in March.
What it covers
Creating and editing transactions, viewing account balances and recent activity, budget progress, and notifications. The heavier analysis and rule configuration stay in the Firefly III web interface, which is the right split.
Setup
Firefly III instance URL plus a personal access token generated from its settings. Because this is financial data, the instance belongs behind a VPN rather than on the open internet.

Abacus and Firefly Pico are alternative companions with different interface philosophies, all speaking the same Firefly III API.
