Plappa is an iOS audiobook player that connects to Jellyfin, Emby, or Audiobookshelf.
Server-agnostic by design
Most audiobook clients tie you to one backend. Plappa supporting three means you can choose the server on its own merits: Audiobookshelf if audiobooks are the priority, Jellyfin or Emby if audiobooks are one collection among many in an existing media server.
Audiobook-specific features
Chapter navigation, variable playback speed, a sleep timer, and progress sync back to the server so switching between phone and another client resumes in the right place. Those are the features that separate an audiobook player from a music app pointed at spoken-word files.
Platform
Plappa is iOS and iPadOS. On Android, ShelfPlayer and the official Audiobookshelf app cover similar ground.
