Pi-hole Remote: Pi-hole Management for Apple Devices

Pi-hole Remote is an Apple-platform client for Pi-hole, the DNS-level ad blocker.

Why a client instead of the web interface

Pi-hole’s admin page works on a phone but is slow to reach and awkward to operate. The action that matters most, temporarily disabling blocking when a site misbehaves, becomes a single tap rather than a login and a menu hunt.

Features

Enable and disable filtering with a timer, view query logs to identify what was blocked, whitelist or blacklist domains on the spot, and see top clients and blocked domains. Multiple Pi-hole instances are supported, which suits anyone running a redundant pair so DNS survives a reboot.

Access

It talks to the Pi-hole API using the instance address and API token. Keep this on the LAN or behind a VPN.

AdGuard Home Remote covers the same territory for AdGuard Home, and Droidhole is the common Android choice for Pi-hole.
