FeedMe: Android Reader for Self-Hosted RSS Services

FeedMe is an Android RSS reader that syncs against a feed server you host yourself rather than maintaining its own subscription list.

Why sync-based readers win

A standalone RSS app keeps read state on one device, which breaks immediately when you read on a phone and a laptop. FeedMe syncs with a server, so FreshRSS, Tiny Tiny RSS, Miniflux, and other supported backends remain the source of truth and every device agrees on what you have read.

Reading features

Offline caching for reading without a connection, gesture navigation, customizable article views, and integration with read-later services for articles you want to keep.

Choosing a backend first

The client matters less than the server here. Pick FreshRSS or Miniflux based on how much you want it to do, get it running, then try clients against it. Because most speak the Google Reader or Fever API, swapping clients later costs nothing.
