EasyMQTT: Simple MQTT Client

EasyMQTT is an MQTT client for looking at what is actually moving across your broker.

Why you need one

MQTT underpins most self-hosted home automation: Zigbee2MQTT, ESPHome, and Home Assistant all speak it. When an automation does not fire, the question is always whether the message was published, on which topic, and with what payload. A client that subscribes to a wildcard and shows you the traffic answers that in seconds, where guessing from logs can take an hour.

What it does

Connect to a broker such as Mosquitto, subscribe to topics including wildcards, watch messages arrive, and publish test payloads to confirm a device or automation reacts correctly.

Practical note

Publishing test messages to live topics will trigger real automations and real devices. Test against a scratch topic first unless you intend the lights to come on.
