Upgrading

  • From Tails 7.0 or later, the automatic upgrade keeps your Persistent Storage
  • If the automatic upgrade fails, or Tails does not start afterwards, do a manual upgrade
  • A fresh install on the same USB stick erases Persistent Storage, so back it up first
