About Sevalla
Sevalla is the developer platform spun out of Kinsta, which built its reputation on managed WordPress. Where Kinsta is WordPress-shaped, Sevalla is a general application host: connect a Git repository, it builds with Nixpacks or your Dockerfile, and runs the result on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
The four products are application hosting, static site hosting, managed databases, and object storage, which between them cover a typical web application without needing a second vendor.
The static tier is unusually generous: 100 free static sites per account with 100GB of bandwidth each, which is more than most competitors give away.
Pricing
Static sites are free at that allowance. Applications are billed by resource size with pay-as-you-go per second, starting around $5/month for a small hobby container and around $20/month for 1 vCPU and 2GB.
Managed databases, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Redis, start around $6/month. Object storage is billed per GB.
Billing by the second means a preview environment that runs for an hour costs an hour, which suits ephemeral branch deployments well.
Service Details
Builds use Nixpacks for automatic language detection, or a Dockerfile if you want control. Node, Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, Java, and Rust are all detected. Internal networking connects your app to its database without going over the public internet.
Deployment is on push, with rollbacks, and there is a CLI plus an API. Persistent volumes are available for applications that genuinely need disk, which distinguishes it from platforms where the filesystem is strictly ephemeral.
Underlying infrastructure is Google Cloud with Cloudflare in front, so the network is solid and there are many region choices. Being newer than most entries here, the ecosystem is smaller, but the product is actively developed.
Available in: 25 or more Google Cloud regions across five continents
