About Bunny.net
Bunny.net is a Slovenian CDN that grew into a broader edge platform, and it built a following by being dramatically cheaper and simpler than the incumbents while still being fast.
For static sites the combination is Edge Storage plus a Pull Zone: upload your built files to replicated storage, put the CDN in front, point your domain at it. That is a complete static host for a couple of dollars a month, with a network of well over a hundred points of presence.
The company is privately held, profitable, European, and unusually candid in its public communication about outages and pricing changes, which counts for something in this industry.
Pricing
Genuinely pay-as-you-go. CDN bandwidth starts around $0.01/GB in Europe and North America and rises for other regions, with a $1/month minimum spend rather than a subscription. Edge Storage is around $0.02/GB/month per replicated region.
A small site with modest traffic costs a dollar or two a month. A site that goes viral costs more, in proportion, with no plan tier to jump. That predictability cuts both ways, so set a budget alert.
Service Details
Bunny Edge Scripting runs JavaScript at the edge on Deno, which covers redirects, header manipulation, A/B splits, and light API work. Bunny Stream handles video with transcoding and a player. Bunny Optimizer resizes and reformats images on the fly, including WebP and AVIF conversion.
Magic Containers extends this to running actual containers across the edge network, which moves Bunny closer to a general application platform than a pure CDN.
There is a full API and a Terraform provider, so deploying from CI is straightforward. If you are already serving a site from a VPS, putting a Bunny pull zone in front is one of the cheapest performance improvements available, and pairs well with the caching setup in our reverse proxy guide.
Available in: Over 100 points of presence across six continents
