So You Start (SYS) is OVHcloud’s mid-range dedicated server brand, positioned between the entry-level Kimsufi and the premium OVH dedicated line. Servers use newer hardware than Kimsufi and include faster SSDs in many configurations. SYS is popular with game server operators, small businesses, and developers who need reliable bare-metal without hyperscaler pricing.
Pricing
Plans start at around €24.99/mo for consumer-grade i7 servers with 32GB RAM. Storage-focused servers (4×6TB HDD) are available at comparable prices. All plans include unmetered 250Mbps–1Gbps bandwidth and OVH’s anti-DDoS (VAC) protection at no extra charge.
Service Details
So You Start servers are managed via the OVHcloud Manager and include IPMI/iKVM access, rescue mode, and a library of OS images for reinstall. Hardware failure replacement is handled by OVH’s team. IPv4 included; additional IPs and /28–/29 blocks available for purchase. RAID configuration options available. No hypervisor overhead, genuine bare metal.
