About RamNode
RamNode has been a fixture of the budget VPS world for more than a decade, popular with developers and the low-end hosting community for straightforward KVM servers at low prices. The brand is now owned by InMotion Hosting, which has kept RamNode as a separate, self-service product line.
Pricing
There are three tiers:
- Lite: from $2/month for 1 vCPU, 1GB RAM, and 15GB NVMe, with 500GB of transfer. Good for a small VPN, DNS, or monitoring box.
- Standard: SSD storage, from $4/month (512MB) up to $80/month for 8 vCPU and 16GB RAM, with generous transfer (2TB on the 1GB plan, 14TB on the largest).
- Premium: NVMe storage and more transfer, from $14/month for 2GB up to $192/month for 16 vCPU and 32GB.
Service Details
RamNode runs KVM, so you get your own kernel and can install any distribution. The control panel offers the usual rebuild, rescue, and console tools. Plans are unmanaged: you are root and responsible for updates and security, which our new server first steps guide covers.
Available in: Atlanta, New Jersey, Seattle, and Los Angeles in the United States, and the Netherlands
