Mythic Beasts is a UK hosting company that has been running for more than 25 years and is still owned by its founders and current and former staff. It has a strong reputation among technical users for doing things properly: IPv6 everywhere, sensible defaults, and support from the engineers who run the systems rather than chatbots.

It also runs a Raspberry Pi cloud, renting real 64-bit Raspberry Pi boards hosted in its data centers.

Pricing

VPS plans are priced in pounds and sized by RAM: £4.50/month for 1 core and 1GB, £7 for 2GB, £13.50 for 4GB, and so on up to £500/month for 256GB and 16 cores. Dollar figures on this page are approximate conversions from sterling.

Servers come with IPv6 as standard, and an IPv4 address costs £2/month extra. That suits a service behind a proxy, but most public services still need IPv4 too; our IPv6 on Linux guide explains what works over IPv6 alone. Managed hosting (£30/month), service monitoring, and backup space are optional extras.

Mythic Beasts says it does not overallocate RAM, uses enterprise SSDs (HDD storage is also offered), and runs dual 10Gbps uplinks. Servers are in multiple UK data centers, with EU locations available.
