About Serverius
Serverius owns and operates its data centers rather than renting space in someone else’s, with facilities in Dronten and Amsterdam connected by its own fibre. That vertical integration is unusual at this size and means hardware, network, and facility issues all land with one company.
Its DDoS protection platform is a substantial piece of infrastructure in its own right, with scrubbing capacity measured in terabits, and it is sold to other providers as well as used internally. If your workload attracts attacks and you want it filtered in the Netherlands rather than routed via a US scrubbing centre first, this is a serious option.
The Netherlands is also a good network location generally, with AMS-IX providing exceptional peering.
Pricing
Single-socket servers start around €85/month and dual-socket Scalable configurations around €245/month, with unmetered 1Gbps ports standard. Colocation runs around €45 per U with power and bandwidth metered separately.
Provisioning takes a business day or two rather than being instant, which is typical for a provider building to order rather than racking stock.
Service Details
Full root, any Linux distribution, remote console access, and IPv4 plus IPv6. Private VLANs connect your servers, and cross-connects are available for customers with their own equipment in the facility.
They also sell IP transit and will run BGP sessions if you have your own address space, which puts them in the category of provider suitable for someone building network infrastructure rather than only renting a box.
The combination of owned facilities, own network, and colocation makes this a sensible choice if you expect to grow from one server into a rack, since the path is continuous rather than a migration.
Available in: Dronten and Amsterdam, Netherlands
