About Performive
Performive sells infrastructure to mid-market companies that need more than a VPS and do not have a large infrastructure team. The technical product is dedicated servers and VMware private cloud; the actual product is the operational support wrapped around it.
That framing explains the pricing. You are not comparing per-core cost against Hetzner, because Hetzner will not patch your operating systems, manage your backups, or answer the phone when your hypervisor cluster misbehaves.
Compliance is a recurring theme: HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 workloads are a substantial part of the customer base, and the audit documentation exists as a result.
Pricing
Dedicated servers start around $250/month for a dual-socket machine with 20TB of transfer. VMware private cloud environments start around $900/month with vSphere licensing included, which is a real cost saving given VMware’s licensing changes in recent years.
Managed services are layered on top. Expect a conversation with sales rather than a shopping cart, and expect the total to reflect the support component.
Service Details
For dedicated servers you get full root and any Linux distribution, with IPMI and a portal. For private cloud you get a vSphere environment you control, on dedicated hardware, with the licensing handled.
Backup and disaster recovery are first-class products here rather than add-ons, including replication between their locations. Monitoring, patching, and OS management are available as managed layers.
Support is US-based with named account contacts rather than a ticket queue, which is much of what the premium buys.
Good fit: a business with compliance requirements and a small IT team. Poor fit: a developer who wants a cheap box and root access, which is most of the rest of this directory.
