Tor Browser 15.0.19
Tor Browser is a hardened, privacy-focused Firefox derivative that routes all traffic through the Tor anonymity network, bundled with settings tuned to resist tracking and browser fingerprinting by default.

Tor Browser routes all traffic through the Tor network’s layered relay system by default, bouncing connections through at least three volunteer-run relays before reaching their destination so no single point in the chain knows both who you are and what you’re accessing. It ships as a preconfigured Firefox build with tracking protection, fingerprinting resistance, and script-blocking controls (NoScript) built in and enabled by default, rather than requiring manual privacy hardening.
Why Not Just Use a VPN
A VPN shifts trust to a single provider who can see your real IP and, depending on the provider, your traffic. Tor’s multi-relay design means no single relay operator can see both your identity and your destination simultaneously. The tradeoff is speed: Tor routing adds real latency and is noticeably slower than a direct connection or VPN for everyday browsing.
Installing on Linux
tar xf tor-browser-linux-x86_64-15.0.19.tar.xz
cd tor-browser
./start-tor-browser.desktop
Fingerprinting Resistance
Beyond routing traffic through Tor, the browser deliberately standardizes window size, disables many APIs commonly used for fingerprinting, and discourages installing additional extensions, since every way a user’s browser looks different from every other Tor Browser instance makes that user more identifiable, defeating much of the point of using Tor in the first place.
Verify Your Download
PGP signatures for every release are published at torproject.org/download, and verification should be treated as mandatory given how frequently fake “Tor Browser” downloads are used to distribute malware.
