EndeavourOS answers a specific question: what if you want Arch, but not the four-hour manual installation? It ships the Calamares graphical installer and a small set of defaults, then gets out of the way. What you end up running is Arch, using Arch’s repositories, with the AUR available and no vendor packages in between.

How it differs from Manjaro

Both are Arch-based and both have installers, but the philosophies diverge. Manjaro maintains its own repositories and holds packages back for testing, which is a real difference in behavior. EndeavourOS uses Arch’s repositories directly, so you get upstream packages at upstream speed, with the corresponding expectation that you read release notes before large updates. If Arch’s rolling model is what you want and the installer is the only barrier, this is the closer fit.

What the Titan release brings

The March 2026 refresh moves to the Linux 6.19 kernel with updated hardware support and installer improvements. Earlier in the year, the Ganymede Neo release shipped the 6.18 LTS kernel, Mesa 25.3.3, and Calamares 26.0.1.

Desktop choice at install time

The installer offers a range of desktops (KDE Plasma, GNOME, Xfce, and several tiling window managers) rather than shipping one flagship edition, and the default offline install produces a lean Xfce system.
